Our client is a Global Technology company working in the Semiconductor industry.
Role and Responsibilities:
This role will join the IT global Infrastructure team and will be responsible for managing the global virtualisation infrastructure. You will join a global team that provides best-in-class virtualisation solutions including architecture, design and optimisation.
- Providing SDN (NSX) technical leadership and support to our IT partners and customers.
- Design and architect NSX global virtualization deployments
- Advanced vSphere and Horizon configurations to meet certain security criteria
- Automation of tasks and reporting
- Understanding the needs of the business and providing appropriate solutions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex issues to diverse audiences in an easily understandable and actionable way
- Proven ability to engage collaboratively with people in diverse teams and geographical locations
- Ability to work within tight deadlines
- Troubleshooting issues and providing root cause analysis
- Creating, maintaining and documenting processes and procedures within our global team
- Server provisioning & lifecycle management
- Hardware setup, configuration and upgrade
Requirements
- 5+ years of server administration experience in a large enterprise environment including:
- VMware NSX experience essential.
- VMware vSphere ESX 6.x or higher (other virtualization technology experience is a plus)
- Background with other VMware products (VCF, vROPs, vSAN, vRNI, Horizon View, VDI etc.)
- Scripting and automation using powerCLI or other programming languages.
- VMware Security Hardening best practices
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Hardware experience using and configuring HPE, Dell, Supermicro is a plus
- A broad technical and business understanding and experience.
