Our client a leading Multinational Semiconductor Telecom Organisation requires Contract Senior RTL Design Engineer for 6 month daily rate role which is 100% remote working. You will need to be within no more than +2 Hour Time Difference from Ireland.
Role:
Working closely with signal processing and HW engineers, you will participate in the development of a new decoder block for high performance reception. You will be primarily responsible for translating signal processing algorithms in a fully synthesizable RTL code. Based on an existing IP, you will propose a micro-architecture, Verilog coding, simulation, and verified block which allow a die size reduction by 2 to 4, then you will integrate the new block in the different Wi-Fi Ips version and support the UVM team for debug.
Education:
- Engineering Degree in computer Sciences
- 8+ years of experience digital design,
- Ability to follow a design flow (RTL, testbench, code coverage, synthesis, formal verification, gate level simulation)
- Highly experienced Verilog
- Strong background in communication theory and digital signal processing, in particular experience with OFDM and MIMO technologies is a high plus
- Familiar with Matlab
- Strong written communication skills in the form of Functional, Design, and Test Plan Documentation
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, English required
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment
