Our client a leading Multinational Semiconductor Power Company requires experienced Senior Program Manager for role based in Cork, Ireland.




The role requires effective co-ordination of engineering design projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. The individual appointed as program manager must have the necessary seniority to be able to take on the responsibilities associated with the role.





The program manager has overall responsibility for delivering all projects within the company and is responsible for:


  • planning and designing engineering design programs and proactively monitoring their progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • managing third party contributions to the program
  • managing communications with all stakeholders
  • managing risks to the program's successful outcome
  • reporting the status of all projects to senior management on a regular basis and prepared the board input each month
  • tracking and maintaining project resource allocations on a regular basis for all employees
  • initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise.


Qualifications / Experience:


Successful candidates will have most of the following:


  • Degree in Electrical Engineering/Project Management or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years experience as Senior Program Manager.
  • Some exposure to complex semiconductor systems on a chip (SoC's) (ideally in the power electronics industry).


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Successful candidates will have some of the following:


  • Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to adapt to fast changing project environments
  • Manage critical/strategic projects and re-focus projects in crisis.
