Client:
Our client a leading Multinational Semiconductor Power Company requires a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer for role based in South Dublin, Ireland.
 
Role:
You will a join a power solutions looking to further complement its existing mixed-signal products, using lower geometry, CMOS Analog Power Process technologies. You will be supporting the development of highly integrated power solutions  and  adding mart control features and integrated digital configurability on current outstanding analog solutions.
 

Requirements:
 
Follows the requirements for the position:
  • Design experience of main DC-DC blocks for switching power IC devices
  • Design analog complex macroblocks including full development follow form feasibility study to lab validation
  • Mentoring more junior staff and provide technical leadership on projects
  • Participate in product definition and planning of a semi-conductor product’s development and introduction to the market
  • Perform design of analog circuits and chip level integrations with consideration of design yield, design for testability and functional safety.
  • Supervise layout and agree requirements to prevent ESD/latch up issues, minimize voltage drop of supply routing, minimize noise coupling, electromigration, in order to ensure quality of physical implementation
  • Perform verification of circuits and ICs, using advance mixed signal techniques to ensure function and performance.
  • Work with production test engineering to support and debug production test issues
  • Perform evaluation of ICs in the lab when they return from fabrication.
  • Clearly communicate project status to senior management
 
Experience:
  • BSEE + 8 years of relevant work experience (or MSEE + 5 year).
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership or key roles in multiple integrated power designs that have been introduced to the market.
  • Ability to travel globally to collaborate with other sites (up to 10% of the time).
  • Design experience on  integrated DC-DC switching power such as Buck, Boost converters.
  • Good communication and hands-on mentorship skills.
 
 
 
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
 
  • Proficiency with Cadence analog design environment, including schematic entry, analog and mixed-signal simulation
  • Proficiency with other EDA tools targeted to mixed signal or digital design flows
  • Automotive-Specific Design Experience with a focus on Quality, Reliability, and Safety (ASIL-D)
  • Behavioural modelling of analog circuits and analog mixed signal (AMS) verification techniques
  • Knowledge of software tools useful for top-down design approach like Simplis, Simulink, Mathcad, Matlab
