Client:
Our client a leading Multinational Semiconductor requires RF Product Engineer for role based in Limerick City, Ireland.
Role:
As a product engineer to join our agile radio transceiver design group. You will join a team of digital, analog and mixed signal CMOS designers, algorithm and software developers implementing state of the art RF transceiver chips. As a member of a small, focused team, you will be responsible for a specific product or group of products from product definition through production and release.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
- Characterization of pre-release silicon encompassing the total solution including analog, digital, and firmware algorithms.
- Work with design, systems, software, and applications engineering to gather the data needed for hardware release and supporting datasheet.
- Develop verification and characterization test plans and develop the software required to automate the data collection process.
- Perform lab analysis and evaluation of new silicon and software, working with a multi-functional team to identify and correct functional and parametric problems.
- Responsible for taking silicon and ARM software from early development stage to full production release.
- Responsible for developing and operating an RF-centric characterization bench.
- Direct interaction with field sales/applications as well as customers to resolve product issues.
- May participate in customer visits.
Education:
- Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience working in wireless transceiver or telecommunications industry
- Strong understanding of communication systems and standards
- Knowledgeable in RF measurements and signal processing
- Familiarity with embedded software and verification practices.
- Highly skilled in debug of complex RF & transceiver system issues.
- Knowledge of programming languages. (Labview, C and Teststand are preferred)
- Strong communication skills are required
- Intelligence, enthusiasm, and a solid work ethic are extremely valuable for this position.
