Our client is a global IT Services provider.

Profile:

  • You are a large-scale problem solver.
  • You are not siloed in your thinking and are comfortable in both development and operations
  • You background will be in applications development
  • You value and understand the business benefits that Dev/Ops brings to your customers
  • You are an excellent communicator (verbal/written) and can consult with both technical teams and business teams as necessary
  • You understand the common challenges when it comes to organisations adopting Dev/Ops including the cultural issues, working on a continuous improvement loop – rather than a pre-approved, up-front plan, accepting that failure is a key component, and that one size does not fit all.
  • You can consult and collaborate with customers to drive business benefit via Dev/Ops
  • You will provide trusted advisor services to our customers and participate in Bid Teams to secure new business in this area. You will engage with customers to provide consultancy and advice and will leverage services available our customers’ needs.
  • You will have 3+ years of experience in applications architecture

 

Requirements

  • You have an in-depth understanding of development, configuration, and release management
  • You will be familiar with, understand and have produced outcomes based upon Dev/Ops common processes and tooling (some examples):
  • Version Control Tools: Git (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket) or Similar
  • Build Tools: Maven, MS Power Platform or Similar
  • Continuous Integration Tool: Jenkins or Similar
  • Configuration Management Tool: Chef, Puppet, Ansible
  • Container Platforms: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Communication and Collaboration: Slack or Similar
  • Cloud Computing and Storage
    • AWS Cloud Computing and Storage in DevOps
    • Azure Cloud Computing and Storage in DevOps
  • Monitoring, Alerting, and Incident Response Tools: SignalFx, Raygun, Splunk, Nagios or similar
  • Testing Tool: Selenium, Gremlin
  • IT Ticketing: ServiceNow
