A global technology company with offices in Cork.
Role:
Your role as a member of the cloud team is to define cloud strategy, governance, and best-practices to aid in the company's adoption of cloud platforms. You will be working closely with engineers within IT as well as across the business to develop solutions and conduct research on new cloud offerings that best align to the needs of the business
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the business to help plan and implement migrations to cloud platforms
- Develop tooling to automate the management of a large cloud ecosystem
- Design and deliver well-architected cloud solutions based on business requirements
- Strive to innovate and embrace a culture of continuous learning
- Partner with IT security to define and implement security best practices in the cloud
- Analyze cloud spend and recommend cost optimization opportunities
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a systems engineer, developer, or solutions architect
- 2+ years experience with a programming language (Python is what we use primarily)
- 2+ years experience with public cloud platforms
- 2+ years experience creating cloud based architectural designs
- 2+ AWS, GCP, or Azure certifications
- 2+ years experience with infrastructure as code design (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc)
- A strong background in cloud networking design
- Experience building web applications in Python
- IAM Principles / Authentication and Authorization
- Strong programming and automating capabilities
- Understanding of configuration management concepts and solutions
- Experience with database fundamentals and security best practices
